At last Saturday’s Petersfield Musical Festival concert Cllr JC Crissey, Mayor, had the great honour to award Philip Young a Town Mayor’s Medal for his outstanding service (performing arts) to the community.
Cllr JC Crissey writes, “This honour is well deserved and based on his more than 40 years with the Festival, including two spells as chairman, and in so doing treating generations of Petersfield residents with musical gold. Thank you Philip!”
The resounding applause in the Festival Hall bore testament to Philip’s huge popularity and contribution to the musical life of the local community.
