We incur significant costs in ensuring that our annual Festival consists of high-quality and varied concerts and recitals that appeal to audiences of different ages, tastes and means, and that it also provides opportunities to local and young, professional and amateur, singers and musicians.

There are also high operating costs for our biennial competition for young composers, entry to which is free.
