Supporting the musicians of the future

The Festival’s Michael Hurd Fund for Young Musicians awards grants to individuals and organisations to further their musical development, and runs a biennial Festival of Young Composers.

The Family Concert introduces children aged 4-11 to the excitement of live orchestral music.

The Youth Concerts provide opportunities for junior and senior schools to cooperate in large-scale performances.

The Festival regularly engages young professionals as soloists in its choral concerts and recitals.
