For more than a century, the Festival has promoted music-making in and around Petersfield, bringing together local singers and instrumentalists of all ages to share the platform with visiting musicians of national and international standing.
Friends of the Festival
We now have nearly 70 people who support us, by giving annual donations and by their interest, as Friends of the Festival. Their financial support and commitment have been an integral part of the Festival’s success, so why not join them?
• You will receive free Newsletters and other information to keep you informed about the latest news and events, as well as advance information about the next Festival’s concerts and recitals.
• You get the chance to book the best seats for the next Festival before tickets go on sale to participants or the general public.
• If you donate £50 or more in a year, you will receive a discount voucher that you can use when buying concert tickets for the next Festival. [The voucher value is 25% of a donation between £50 and £100, plus 5% of any amount over £100.]
• You will be able to attend and vote at General Meetings of the Petersfield Musical Festival and thus be able to influence its management and future Festivals. [To be entitled to vote, your donation must be at least equal to the choir membership subscription: £22 for the 2023 Festival and £24 for the 2024 Festival.]
Why do we need Friends?
Extra fundraising is essential to ensure the quality and variety of the Festival’s concerts. Friends have a special role to play in ensuring the Festival continues to thrive, through their donations and interest.
