Orchestra’s sextet draws on some of our most talented young jazz players to perform a selection of music from this 20th century legend.
Blakey would have approved; he told a live audience, ‘I’m gonna stay with the youngsters. When these get too old, get some younger ones. Keeps the mind active.’
